Spectrum Networks Announces Exclusive Network-Wide Coverage of the General Election Debates for Spectrum Customers
STAMFORD, Conn. – Spectrum Networks today announced it will use the resources of its 30-plus local news networks and the reach of its Spectrum News App to provide comprehensive, network-wide coverage of the Presidential and Vice Presidential debates, exclusively for Spectrum customers across the country. With news networks in nine states, including five key battleground states - Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Wisconsin and Texas - and journalists embedded in these communities, Spectrum News will bring national political conversations to the local level to provide objective context and insights of the issues impacting community neighborhoods and municipalities.

The Network will bring the full force of its political and local news expertise to cover the general elections, including airing live coverage of the three Presidential debates on September 29, October 15, and October 22, and the Vice Presidential debate on October 7. Following each debate, Spectrum News will air Decision 2020: Spectrum News Post-Debate Special featuring a roundtable of Spectrum News political anchors from the regional markets across the country to provide in-depth analysis, insights and commentary through their local lens.
Hosted by Spectrum News NY1 Anchor Errol Louis, the Network’s first Presidential post-debate hour-long special on September 29 will include analysis from Spectrum News 1 Southern California’s Alex Cohen, Spectrum News 1 North Carolina’s Tim Boyum, Spectrum News 13 Anchor Ybeth Bruzual from Orlando, and Spectrum News 1 Ohio’s Curtis Jackson who will be live from the debate site in Cleveland. NY1 Political Reporter Emily Ngo will fact-check the candidate’s speeches, and NY1 Political Director Bob Hardt will cover how the first debate compares to past Presidential debates.
To provide the most comprehensive, unbiased perspective on the virtual debate, Spectrum’s D.C. Bureau reporters, along with political reporters in each region, also will report on the issues at the state and local levels, including developments, reactions and analysis from representatives from each campaign.
