Spectrum SportsNet Announces Los Angeles Lakers Broadcast Schedule for First Half of 2020-21 NBA Season

SportsNet to Air 31 Regular Season Games and Four Preseason Matches

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – Spectrum SportsNet today announced its comprehensive broadcast schedule for the first half of the Lakers 2020-21 regular season schedule. SportsNet will air 35 games – 31 regular season games and four preseason matches – beginning with the Lakers preseason game vs. the Los Angeles Clippers on December 11 at 7:00 p.m. PST.

The Lakers regular season live game coverage on SportsNet will begin on Sunday, December 27 vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. All 31 regular season games will air live on SportsNet, including 22 games broadcast exclusively on the network in Southern California.

Lakers veteran play-by-play announcer Bill Macdonald and analyst Stu Lantz return for their 11th season calling Lakers’ games together. This season will be Macdonald’s 11th as play-by-play announcer, and the 35th season for Lantz on Lakers’ broadcasts. Mike Trudell is returning for his 10th full season as the team’s sideline reporter.

In the SportsNet studio, Chris McGee and Allie Clifton will lead the hosting duties for Lakers pregame, halftime and postgame programming, alongside analyst and NBA Hall of Famer “Big Game” James Worthy and Lakers Insider Mike Bresnahan. Returning to the Lakers studio team to provide expert NBA analysis will be seven-time NBA Champion Robert Horry and five-time NBA Champion and Los Angeles Sparks head coach Derek Fisher.

Studio coverage will feature SportsNet’s award-winning Access SportsNet: Lakers pregame show that will include game previews and coverage, 60 minutes prior to every game. Access SportsNet: Lakers postgame coverage will include player and coach interviews, game highlights and in-depth analysis from the Access SportsNet: Lakers expert studio team following each game.

Spectrum SportsNet’s Emmy Award-winning Backstage: Lakers series will again take fans behind the scenes to give them an exclusive look into the off-the-court experiences of Lakers players, coaches and executives. This season’s Backstage: Lakers will premiere Wednesday, December 30 immediately following the Access SportsNet: Lakers postgame show.
